Cradles and Bassinets
Bassinets
will not last the entire time that your baby needs before they
can sleep in a bed of their own but they are nice if you have
a large home because you can conveniently have your baby nap in
which ever room you would like to be in because of their mobility.
Whether you have decided to co-sleep and you simply want them
near when they nap or you have it in your budget and you would
like to buy a bassinet for when they are younger and a crib later,
then you may find them to be very handy.
Cradles
are generally smaller then a crib, however they allow you to put
your baby in a swinging motion while they go to sleep. They can
be a good option for the sheer fact that they are smaller than
a crib and are larger than a bassinet and therefore will last
longer than the bassinet and take up less room than the crib.
If you do decide to get one though, they may be a good investment
if your baby needs to be swung to go to sleep and if you need
to have a little more room then a crib would allow.
Remembering
that some cradles and bassinets don't come with sheets will help
in making sure you have everything.
