About Booster Seats
Booster seats
are the last step that your child takes while they become old enough
to safely sit in a normal chair. Technically if your child can sit
up on their own, they can use a booster seat.
If you decide
to use a booster seat when your baby is first able to sit up unassisted
it is not a good idea to set them on a chair yet. If they threw
a fit they could shake the booster seat out of the chair. It is
better, if you decide to only buy a booster seat, to place it on
something solid like the floor or a large table while your baby
is still young. They have great mobility if you don't mind your
child sitting a little lower then table level while they are still
young.
You may find
that your child will need some sort of seating assistance until
they are well over two years old. You may also find that they can
use the booster seat as a seat on other occasions other then eating
due to the removable tray. A booster seat is just a one time purchase
if you can keep it in good condition the entire time you child is
using it.
